Boiling Point: one of the best places to get personal lil’ hot pots around the greater Seattle area. I guess this is considered Taiwanese due to the tso dofu (stinky tofu) selection, but I’m not a big fan. I always get “fish ball curry hot pot,” as seen in the image, and I always leave satisfied. :)

Ah yes, BP is also well-known for its spiciness levels; I always get 3 stars, which is spicy enough to give me more sensations, but not so much that I can’t feel a damn thing due to the spices. At 12 bucks for a base without extra meat, etc., it’s a pretty damn good deal. One hot pot is definitely a good portion for an individual.

Definitely recommend this place. I discovered this place through an amazing girl friend of mine who knows how to eat. :).

Cupcakes from The Yellow Leaf cupcake co., located in the...

Cupcakes from The Yellow Leaf cupcake co., located in the Belltown area. Since this gal friend of mine and I got the cupcakes later on in the day of Christmas eve, many of the unique flavors were gone. The one one the left is an almond cupcake, and the one on the right (mine!) is ultimate chocolate. It wasn’t too sweet, which I like since sweet ones kind of get me sick. The frosting was on the lighter side, but definitely not “fake” tasting like lower-quality frosting that usually tastes like food coloring and whatnot. Definitely worth coming back and exploring different flavors.

FYI: I’m not too big on cupcakes, but perhaps I need to explore the variety and fall in love with a certain flavor…?

Nishino Tonight

It will be my first time going in there in ages. I’m really looking forward to my sashimi fix. <3

Fyi: Nishino is my all-time favorite sushi place in the greater Seattle area. Find something you think compares, and I’ll check it out.

Dim sum at Sun Sui Wah in Richmond (there’s also one in...

Dim sum at Sun Sui Wah in Richmond (there’s also one in Vancouver), BC, Canada. Great food and atmosphere for a Chinese place. The food is juicy, but not too oily like some places. Somewhat on the more expensive side, but it’s worth a fine meal.

One little side-note is they don’t pull carts around; a paper with the food items (Chinese with English description) is given to each table, and the customers will put a number next to the desired item specifying how many they want.

First post! This pic was taken on December 22 at pnk ultraLounge in downtown Seattle. I’m holding up a Dreamsicle; a creamy orange cocktail. Delicious if you enjoyed those orange creamsicles back in the good ol’ days.

Brief intro to me: I am a user-interface designer in training (aka college) who knows little about cooking, but knows how to eat.. and drink.
